I love gardening and creating beautiful spaces that my clients can enjoy year round. We can chat together to decide what’s best for you each visit, or if you just don’t have the time to put in to general maintenance, I shall simply keep your garden in great condition throughout the year.
Who is O.M.B.S Gardens?
I'm Ciarran, and my real enthusiasm for gardening began when, aged about 8, my parents bought me a set of 6 cacti when they visited Chelsea Flower Show. Within a few years, I had a total of 38 adorning our spare room windowsill and was thrilled to bits that I had ‘made’ so many new cacti! My mum had a vegetable patch with a family of slow worms living in it that I was completely fascinated by, and my granny would always press a freshly picked bunch of carrots, peas, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, etc, into our hands whenever we left my grandparents house. I always felt like I was walking through another world in her vegetable patch and greenhouse - I have no idea how many hours she magicked into her days! The business initials come from my various family surnames, those who have inspired and encouraged my love of gardening.

I'm a dog lover, a jogger, an ex - photographer and I find delights in the little things in life. I also have a slight hearing loss, so you might need to speak a little louder than usual!

Having spent a majority of my working life trying to earn enough money to feel ‘like I’ve made it’, a little nudge from my husband made me realise I would only have ‘made it’ when I loved what I did. So I took the leap in 2022 and started gardening professionally. Now everyone else’s gardens look better than mine! I take pride in my work and strive to provide a friendly, professional service to people in the local area.

My clients are within 10 miles of Farnham, Surrey for regular work, but if you have something a bit special in mind and are further away, please ask!

I am very happy to work with friendly dogs and humans large and small, but it is at my discretion as to whether I ask them to go back inside or not!

I have accounts with trade nurseries so can source new plants at your request.

I am currently studying part time and hope to be fully RHS qualified by July 2024.

Insurance comes as standard.

I take both regular work and one - offs.

Tree surgery is not my thing.

I bring my own tools, but don't have a portable lawnmower, so I would ask to use yours if needed. Same applies for long (6ft+) ladders, which won't fit in my car. Please ask if you need specific power tools to ensure I have them.

Energy levels will decline over time without sustenance! I will take up to 15min break each four hours worked - paid, or up to 30minutes for six hours - paid. If I work an eight hour day, I will take up to an hour lunch break - unpaid.

"There's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing". I will work through it all and advise you if I need to leave early due to a soaking, freezing or burning situation!
